Flintlock Mainspring Vise

This hand forged spring clamp/mainspring vise can be seen in several period illustrations, as well as archeologically dug examples, and is the most appropriate style to use with flintlocks of the 18th century. A vital tool for taking your lock apart without damaging components, this vise also has a curved tail to depress the feather spring while removing the hammer (frizzen).
